You're right, it did have something for everyone. Blockbuster action for the passing moviegoers, familiar references for the occasional Iron Man readers, and a logical and consistent storyline for avid fans. To put things into perspective, I guess spending time in a cave captured by terrorists is sometimes enough to cause a great change in character traits. Haha psychology. I agree with you in that the movie would have probably worked out better if events were presented chronologically. How it was presented still wasn't bad though. Oh and as for Iron Monger being defeated really quickly, I'm okay with that too. Sure, his armor and chestpiece were supposedly better, but it was his very first time using it. I wouldn't have liked it either if he had put up a bigger fight despite the fact that he was still a total noob at using the suit.
